New UAH Art and Art History Faculty

jennifer marsh
Sculptor Jennifer Marsh is joining the UAH Art and Art History Dept. this Fall as a visiting assistant professor.

In addition to her personal studio practice, Jennifer is the founder of the International Fiber Collaborative, Inc. Her latest project, W.R.A.P (World Reclamation Art Project) grew from her interest in making her sculptures respond to current affairs while involving the community in her projects. Artists from 15 countries and more than 2,500 grade-school and college students in 29 states, created the fiber panels that Marsh used to cover a 50-year-old former Citgo station -- pumps, light stands, signs and all -- more than 3,000 fiber panels crocheted, knitted, quilted or stitched together.

The collective is receiving National and International coverage, and naturally she will be bringing her next project to Huntsville!
