Gears of War 3

The Gears of War 3 Doubles Tournament is a single-elimination Team Deathmatch competition featuring the maps  Checkout, Gridlock and Old Town.

Available Slots: LIMITED ONLY 12 Teams, 24 Players (2v2)
Registration Begins: 10 am in the UAH Library Room 111 (First to Sign In Gets a Slot!)

Map: Checkout
Mode: Team Deathmatch

Round 2
Map: Gridlock
Mode: Team Deathmatch

3rd Round
Map: Old Town
Mode: Team Deathmatch

Final Round: (Only if time permits it will be best 2 out of 3)
Map: Checkout, Gridlock, or Old Town can be agreed on (If not then Gridlock)

Starting Weapons:

  • Primary- Lancer
  • Secondary- Gnasher Shotgun
  • No Boomshot
  • No Retro Lancer
  • No Hammerburst
  • No Sawed Off Shotgun
Team Deathmatch Settings:

Time Limit- 10 Minutes (Due to time constraints, I will set a 10 minute timer, once time is up then round will end with highest score the winner)

Respawns Allocated – 10 (10 Deaths)
Rounds to Win – 1
Number of Bots – 0
Bleed-Out Time – 15
Friendly Fire – Off
Weapon Respawn – After Pickup (When you pick up a weapon the timer begins for weapon spawn again.


Misc

1. You can bring your own controller, but please no turbo mods and no tournament headsets (Astros, Turtle Beach, etc.).  Xbox live console regular wired headsets will be provided. Players will be responsible for their own belongings.
2. By registering, competitors agree they have read, understand, and will abide by all tournament rules and regulations.
3. Please respect the event staff along with the hardware and software provided.
4. If a match results in a tie, participants must play again until a winner is decided.
5. Players will be able to change their control settings prior to competing.
6. Please Note: Excessive use of foul language or shouting is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with swiftly. First-time offenders will receive a warning; second time offenders will be banned.
