UAH and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology have long enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial partnership. UAH professors serve as adjunct faculty at the Institute, undergraduate and graduate students take part in its research projects and internship programs, and alumni enjoy employment in the Institute labs or with the associate companies that call the 152-acre biotech campus home.

Astrophysics major

“I zeroed in on UAHuntsville because of its astrophysics program. I’m a senior now, a double major in astrophysics and math, an Honors student, and winner of the Physics Department Award. I also spent two summers in a full-time research co-op, perfecting data systems for a missile defense program. And, I was also trained and hired as PASS leader, helping other students in my mentor’s astronomy class. Next stop: My Ph.D. Next next stop: University professor!”
