PRC Collaborates with AFRL, Argonne National Laboratory

In cooperation with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, Ph.D. student Chad Eberhart recently conducted experimental work onbehalf of the Propulsion Research Center at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).   The research incorporated an ultrafast absorption x-radiography technique to capture atomization dynamics of liquid rocket injector sprays.  Experiments were hosted on the 7-BM beamline at ANL’s Advanced Photon Source.   Mr. Eberhart hopes to benchmark similar measurements collected by optical diagnostics at the PRC’s own High Pressure Spray Facility.
