The College of Business Administration will host women's rights activist, Lilly Ledbetter, on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Business Administration Building room 114.  The 10:00 talk is free-of-charge and open to the public.

After years of battling, The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act of 2009 was signed by President Barack Obama.  This crusade began when theJacksonville, Alabama native worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber and discovered she was paid much less than her male counterparts.  The law ensures that any worker discriminated against on the basis of gender and race has a more reasonable timeline for suing his or her employer.  .

Ms. Ledbetter will also speak at this year's Alabama Women Student Leaders Conference taking place at Wilson Hall on Friday, April 4th, at 5:00.
