Finally, identify at least three people
that you would like to use as references. You want
people who can speak to your work habits, your learning
ability, and how well you work with others. Once you
have identified your potential references, make an "appointment" to
talk with them and ask them if they would serve as
a reference for you. You need to let them know the
types of positions you are seeking and give them a
copy of your resume. Some fields such as education
and nursing will often require references to write
letters of recommendation.
