Junior | Senior
Junior Year - Fall
- Meet with Career Services staff, academic advisors, faculty
to discuss your interests and benefits of attending Graduate
or Professional School.
- Check with the Office of Career Services for the schedule
of the Graduate and Professional School Day that is usually
held in early October.
- Talk with representatives about programs of study, entrance
requirements, assistantships, financial aid, etc.
Junior/Senior Year - Summer
- Register for required graduate admissions examinations.
- Enroll in a test preparation program or begin self study
for entrance exams, i.e. GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT. You
may wish to plan to take the graduate admissions test more
than once.
- Visit school web sites (or send for and read college
catalogs) and gather applications for graduate school,
assistantships, and financial aid.
- Entrance requirements may include writing application
essays, letters of recommendation, and entrance examinations.
- Programs have different deadlines for submitting materials,
so make a timeline for having all materials submitted on
time.
- If possible, visit schools of interest.
