Chronological Resume
General | Education | Employment | Production | Example
Employment is typically the next section in
a Chronological Resume. It should begin with the most current
and work its way back. If you have some volunteer or un-paid
internships that you with to work in this section, call it
experience. You can mix both paid and un-paid work in an
experience section where as you are limited to paid work
in an employment section. It should contain the dates of
employment, your title, and the name and location of the
employer. Write statements of your duties/responsibilities
beginning with the most relevant to the job you are seeking.
Don't spend a lot of space and detail describing positions
that are not relevant or did not help you prepare for the
job you are seeking. Give yourself credit for working, but
sometimes a title is enough.
