Career / Job Fairs and Interview Days

Each October and March, UAH hosts a Career/Job Fair and an Interview Day. The "Career/Job Fair" is intended to provide freshmen through alumni the opportunity to interact with employer representatives and runs from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Organizations set-up displays and/or provide information about their company and career or employment opportunities. For upcoming dates see our calendar.

Undergraduate students explore general opportunities that are available for their major or to find out which majors are in demand. They may also investigate possible part-time or summer employment possibilities. Graduating seniors and alumni will briefly discuss employment opportunities and distribute resumes.

The "Interview Days" provide prearranged one-on-one interviews for graduating students and alumni. A resume drop, based on employer qualifications, is held a few weeks prior to the event and collected resumes are sent to the employers for review. Selected candidates are then contacted by Career Services and scheduled for interviews. All interviews are scheduled for 30-minute slots.

A separate Job Fair (the North Alabama College Placement Employment Day) is held each February, hosted by the UAH, Alabama A&M University, Athens State University, Oakwood College, and the University of North Alabama.
