Each year, UAH has provided the venue for the Randolph High School Cross Country Classic.  As in the past, we expect a large number of competitors and spectators will begin to arrive on campus tomorrow around 11:00 AM and remain until approximately 7:00 PM.  During this time, spectators will be restricted to parking on the field located south of the new parking lot construction site in the southern-most portion of the campus.  Buses used to transport the student competitors will be entering and exiting the campus via the Technology Drive entrance.  The competitors will disembark inside the W-30 Lot directly south of the Engineering Building and the buses will park off campus.

We expect heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic during the event. Most of this added congestion will be concentrated in the southern part of the campus along John Wright Drive.  My recommendation is to avoid this area if you’re driving.

Employees and students needing to drive to Tech Hall should use Sparkman Drive and enter the Tech Hall parking lots via Technology Drive.  Everyone else may enter the campus via Knowledge Drive, Holmes Ave, for those coming from the east or west, or via the University Blvd northern entrance in front of the Early Learning Center.

The parking lots at Charger Park, the lots behind the SEC Housing Complex, Engineering Building and MSB, and the W-30 Lot will be available for UAH parking customers only.  Parking assistants from the participating schools and UAH officers will be posted in the area assisting with getting visitors in and out as safely and efficiently as possible.
