E-mail forwarding is a free service offered by the UAH Alumni Association to all university alumni. Here’s how it works: • Sign up for your UAH e-mail forwarding address by completing the registration form. Your screen name will be formatted like this: Firstname.Lastname@uah.edu • Tell us a home or business e-mail address to which you want your mail forwarded. • Use your uah.edu address for all of your e-correspondence. • Your messages will be forwarded through the university’s state-of-the art equipment to your private home or business e-mail address. • Once your uah.edu account is active, just give associates your UAH e-mail address instead of your private home or work e-mail address. If you move, change jobs or switch Internet providers, simple update your forwarding address in our system. Your messages will go to the new address automatically. How does e-mail forwarding work? Permanent e-mail forwarding is a service for UAH alumni that lets you establish one prestigious e-mail address that can be used for all of your correspondence. Our computers receive your messages and instantly forward them to a private home or business address that you provide. Content is not stored, read, or modified. Your actual address remains confidential. Your forwarding address tells the world you are proud to be a UAH graduate! To use the service you must have an Internet service provider and a home or business e-mail address.To use permanent e-mail forwarding, all you have to do is register and keep a current e-mail address on file with us. How do I retrieve my messages? There is no special procedure for opening and responding to messages forwarded by UAH. Is there a charge for the service? E-mail forwarding is a free service offered as a courtesy for alumni. Occasionally, the Alumni Association will use the service to send messages about upcoming events, alumni activities, and important happenings on campus. Privacy and Responsibility We will never sell or share your private information. We assume no responsibility for lost or misdirected messages. Our service does not provide protection against spam or viruses. Occasionally, the UAH server may be temporarily down for maintenance or due to power outages or acts of nature. |
