In recognition of January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month, Pat McCay (a UAH Alumnus and 2013 recipient of the UAH Alumni of Achievement Award) will join us to speak about her work with human trafficking prevention and awareness. Pat is the Chair of the Huntsville-Madison County Human Trafficking Task Force and has received the FBI Director's "Community Leadership Award" for her service to this cause. During the Lunch & Learn, you will learn what human trafficking is; some basic statistics of slavery around the world; how traffickers find and trap their victims; some of the cases that have occurred in our area over the last few years; and more. About the speaker: Pat McCay is a 1981 graduate of UAH with a BSBA degree in Marketing. She has been President of The Consulting Group, Inc. since 1993 and has been a partner in TriTech Solutions, LLC since 1999. Pat is a 2011 recipient of the FBI Director's "Community Leadership Award" and 2013 recipient of the "UAH Alumni of Achievement Award." She has led the Huntsville-Madison County Human Trafficking Task Force as its chair since 2010 and is also a member and past Chair of the Madison County Coordinated Community Response Taskforce Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault since 2008.
