I was born in El Paso, Texas. My mother was born in Mexico and my father in Chicago. I am married and I have nine children, four grandchildren, and we live in Toney, Alabama where we are in the early stages of attempting to practice sustainable small scale agriculture. I am also interested in Ecclesiastical/ Liturgical Latin. I received my M.A. at the University of Alabama, after earning my B.A. here at UAH.

I teach beginning and intermediate Spanish and coordinate the Foreign Language Internships for the department.
