Apr 07, 2006 Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You Sister Mary Ignatius, a teaching nun who is much concerned with sin in all of its various forms, delivers a cautionary lecture to her charges. One of them, a precocious little boy named Thomas, can quote the Ten Commandments on cue, and each time he does so Sister Mary rewards him with a cookie. But when several of her former students turn up the picture darkens, along with Sister Mary's indignation. The Cast Nicole Swann as Sister Mary Ignatius Ms. Swann has performed in over 15 productions during her high school years. Her credits include, Susan, in Woody Allen's "Don't Drink The Water", Aldonza/Dulcinea in "The Man of La Mancha", Tuptim in "Anna and the King", Lady Macbeth in Macbeth. She was seen last semester in the UAH production of "Red Scare on Sunset" as Pat Pilford. She is currently finishing her bachelor's degree in philosophy and hopes to attend law school in 2007. Her joy, ihope, and motivation come from her two sons Julius and Joseph, her Paw Paw, and Father Joe Sanderson. Kristin Stanfield as Sister Mary Ignatius Christin began acting at Grissom High School. While in college, she continued performing with Theatre Huntsville and Renaissance Theatre. It was through these productions that she met and later married her talented and supportive huband Joel. She plans to pursue a career in the performing arts following her graduation from UAH in the Spring of 2007. Marcus Milam as Gary Marcus is currently a senior at UAH majoring in Biology and Secondary Education. He has performed in several plays, most recently "Antigone" and "The Dining Room." He has been involved in theatre for the better part of his life and hopes to pursue an MFA in acting upon graduation. Stephanie Tanner as Diane A UAH Elementary Education major, Stephanie was seen last semester in Red Scare on Sunset as Mary Dale Taggert. She also appeared in the Panoply Ten-Minute play festival last spring. Stephanie is the mother of a wonderful two year old boy named Thomas. Andrew Judge as Aloysius A Junior double-whammy major in Communications and Philosophy, he is heavily involved in both the UAH Pep Band and Babtist Campus Ministries. Andrew has appeared in several plays and musicals in high school. Caroline Gluck as Philomena Caroline is a senior at UAH, majoring in English/Language arts with Secondary and Middle School Education, and minoring in Comunication Arts. She graduated from Grissom High School and was active in the Dance and Theatre programs. Caroline is currently involved with the Lambda Kappa Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority and is practicing teaching at Buckhorn High School and Huntsville Middle School. Tavarris Gilbert as Thomas Tavarris is a graduate student at UAH majoring in Math Education. He recieved his bachelors from Alabama A&M University in 2003. He and his lovely fiance Toia are expecting their first child.Tavarris took acting class at UAH last fall and got the bug. The Actors Nightmare A short comic play by Christopher Durang that involves an accountant named George Spelvin, who is mistaken for an actor's understudy and forced to perform in a play for which he doesn't know any of the lines. Alexis Owens as Ellen 1 Alexis is a major in Communication Arts with a minor in English and hopes to become a motivational speaker. She is the vice president of the Omicron Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She also serves as the publicity manager for Lambda Pi Eta the communications honor society. "Theatre is like my first love. It allows me to express myself on all types of levels. Ever since my first encounter with Theatre, it has been my desire." Karessa Acosta as Ellen 2 Karessa is a Communication Arts major at UAH with a minor in business. A Huntsville native, she graduated from Grissom High School in 2001. She performed several roles in "The Dining Room" at UAH in 2003. Joel Stanfield as Henry Joel is a senior Philosophy major at UAH. He has performed with Renaissance Theatre and Theatre Huntsville. His wife, Christin has given him a great appreciation for Theatre. April Ayala as Meg April is a 22 year old Graphic Design Major at UAH. She was seen on stage last semester as Marta Towers and the infamous shop girl in "Red Scare on Sunset." She also serves as the President of the UAH Theatre Club. We are all grateful to April for stepping in at the last minute and doing such a wonderful job. She likes long walks and trips to NYC.
