Biography

Dr. Beth A. Davis is a native of Mississippi where she received her Bachelor's degree in music education at The University of Southern Mississippi. She received both her Master's degree and PhD from the University of Alabama. She has taught elementary music in Mississippi and Alabama since 1990. She has served as an adjunct professor at The University of Alabama at Huntsville beginning in 1999. She is certified in Early and Middle Childhood Music by the National board of Professional Teaching Standards. Her other certifications include levels I, II, and III in Orff-Schulwerk, Level I in World Music Drumming, and both First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege Level I by the Feierabend Association for Music Education. She has served the music educators of the state of Alabama as a district chair, treasurer, and president of the Elementary/General Division of the Alabama Music Educators Association.
