Rosa Richardson is a flute instructor at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and holds a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's degree in flute performance. Rosa performs with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, the Grammy nominated Gateway Chamber Orchestra in Tennessee, and several community and church ensembles. She has also performed as guest principal flute in the Paducah Symphony Orchestra in Kentucky, served as clinician, performer and adjudicator in the Midsouth Flute Festival, and has performed in several masterclasses by world renowned flute players such as William Bennett, Denis Bouriakov, and Peter Lloyd. Awards for her performances include winner of the Midsouth Flute Festival Young Artist Competition and the Kentucky Flute Festival Young Artist Competition.

In addition to performing, Rosa holds teaching certificates for Alabama and Tennessee. She maintains a large flute studio and serves as a clinician for numerous public and private schools in the Huntsville area.

Aside from flute activities, Rosa serves as the director of children's music at Asbury United Methodist church. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Cody Richardson and her children, Olivia and Oakley.
