Dorrie Nutt has been actively in involved in Huntsville’s musical community since 1981. She currently performs with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, the Flint River Brass Quintet and the Brass Band of Huntsville. Over the years she has been associated with the Twickenham Winds, the Twickenham Brass, the Valley Chamber Players, and the Huntsville and Decatur Chamber Orchestras. Regionally, Ms. Nutt has performed with the Chattanooga Symphony, the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, and the Tuscaloosa Symphony.

Ms. Nutt received a Master of Music degree from Auburn University, and currently serves on the faculties of The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Randolph School. She also maintains a private studio. Ms. Nutt serves as Alabama’s representative for the International Horn Society and as the Huntsville Symphony’s delegate to the Regional Orchestra Players Association.
