Biography

Jessica Temple is a poet who teaches composition and literature courses. In addition, she writes and voices shows for the syndicated weekly poetry college radio program melodically challenged. Her scholarly interests include creative writing, 20th Century American literature, Southern literature, and a wide range of poetry.

She has presented scholarly work on Eudora Welty's short stories, women in Renaissance drama, formal poetry, and the poetry of Gary Snyder, Thoreau, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Stevie Smith and Natasha Trethewey, among other topics. Her chapbook, Seamless and Other Legends, is available from Finishing Line Press.
