Biography

Nicole McDavid graduated from UAH in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts. She graduated with a Masters of Arts from Auburn University in 2006 with a focus in Rhetoric and Communication Studies. Ms. McDavid was a full-time lecturer at Auburn University before returning to UAH in 2009. Ms. McDavid presented papers at SSCA and MAPOR on rhetoric, gender, and the application of the spiral of silence theory. She teaches courses at UAH in public speaking, foundations of human communication, nonverbal communication, and crisis communication. Ms. McDavid is also the Public Speaking Director and Social Media Coordinator for the Communication Arts Department. She enjoys teaching students how to better understand and apply communication principles in their everyday life and careers.
