What high school did you graduate from?

What made you want to be an admissions counselor?
I was drawn to the admissions counselor position due to the positive experience I had while in college. I have a passion for meeting new high school seniors and being able to share with them how to pick the right college for them. I also enjoy being able to work with students that are from areas in north Alabama close to my hometown of Decatur.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, interior design, writing, and being outdoors. My favorite hobbies typically all involve craft projects to some degree!
What is the best advice you can give to a high school student?
Use your resources. Talk to one of the many wonderful people here at UAH who are willing to help you through your college search process. We are all here to answer any questions you may have on how to apply for college and how to make the most out of your experience once you are on campus.
What is your favorite thing about UAH?
My favorite thing about UAH is the location. Growing up just a few miles down the road in Decatur, we always visited Huntsville looking for events, shopping and great restaurants. UAH has unique opportunity of being a part of a larger city that provides our students with amenities both on and off campus. This city also provides our students with growth opportunities through internships and co-ops in one of the many companies in Cummings Research Park. By coming to UAH students are truly putting themselves in the right environment to succeed.
