Congratulations on your admission to UAH! Follow the Charger Checklist to prepare you to become a Charger!

  • Visit Campus

    A campus visit can be very beneficial in determining if a university is the right fit for you. Your campus visit includes an information session with an admissions counselor and a campus tour from a current UAH student.

  • Register for Orientation

    Making the transition to college life, registering for classes, and getting connected socially are just a few of the benefits of New Student Orientation. Orientation is required for all new degree seeking students.
    *Orientation session dates and registration for Spring 2017, Summer 2017, and Fall 2017 will be available at a later date.

  • Apply for Housing

    Our residential communities help students transition to university life. All first and second year full-time students with a permanent legal residence beyond 30 miles from campus are required to live in the university residence halls.

  • Send Your Final Transcripts

    Arrange for your final transcripts and any college credits to be sent to the Office of Admissions. Remember, your admission is contingent on your final credentials, which must reflect academic achievement similar to our assessment at the time of admission.

  • Send AP/IB Credit

    Have official AP/IB scores sent to the Office of Admissions directly from the testing agency in order to have your scores evaluated for UAH credit. 

  • Accept your Federal Aid and Scholarships

    All students wishing to apply for federal aid, such as pell grants and/or loans, may submit a FAFSA application at by the April 1st priority deadline. Any student with a scholarship offer can accept their award by the priority deadline of May 1st.

    All first-time freshmen attending UAH in the fall are invited to get a jump start on college by taking classes the summer prior to your first fall semester!

  • Submit Your Immunization Documents

    Before you can register for classes, all new students, regardless of classification, must submit an immunization form. Make sure to read over the immunization requirements on the Health and Wellness website.

  • Check Out our Dining Options

    We're proud of our ever-expanding dining selections, which includes the Charger Café, Chick-fil-A, Papa John's, Boar's Head Deli, Sandella's, Charger Brew, World of Wings, and Dunkin' Donuts!

  • Connect with UAH on Social Media

    Follow the Office of Admissions on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to stay up to date on upcoming events and important deadlines.

  • Students with Disabilities

    Once admitted, students who wish to utilize Disability Support Services (DSS) must submit documentation of a disability directly to DSS and request an appointment with the Senior Coordinator.
