UAHuntsville Staff Senate
Mission Statement
To serve as an ancillary,
advisory function with respect to the UAHuntsville
administration in the area of staff personnel matters,
and to do so in a positive, constructive way.
Purpose of the Staff Senate
The UAHuntsville Staff Senate was established in 1992
to provide:
- a forum for the exchange of ideas
- a resource for evaluating proposals
- a mechanism for expressing suggestions and concerns
The Staff Senate has been recognized by the University
administration as a representative body of eligible
non-faculty staff.
The Staff Senate responds to issues presented by
Staff Senate members and committees, the University
administration, the student government, and UAHuntsville
staff and employees. Communications from the Staff
Senate are brought to the attention of the University
administration by submission to the Vice President of
Finance and Administration.
We work to promote better understanding, cooperation,
and communication within the UAHuntsville campus
community for the benefit and betterment of all.
