Security Questions

One of the most common ways to "hack" into somebody's account actually doesn't involve hacking at all. Because many online systems grant access by answering security questions, the easiest way to gain access to someone's account is simply to look up some information about them. This is possible because many people choose security questions that aren't really secure.

P-Synch gives you a long list of possible security questions and requires you to define and answer three. You will be required to answer two of these questions at random each time you log in using questions instead of a password.

What makes a good security question?

It's not just about information that is personal; it's about information that is not readily available. Many users define security questions with answers that can be found quite easily via the internet.

Here are three suggestions to help you choose good security questions:

1) A good question should be something that can't be guessed or looked up.

2) A good question is constant. The answer doesn't change over time.

3) A good question is memorable.
