Temporary Service

Should your department need a temporary employee through our temporary employment contract, contact the Staff Employment Office at least 24 hours in advance (whenever possible).  Please send your request via email to Lynn Bell at belll@uah.edu and include the following information:

  • The job title and a short description of the job duties;
  • The approximate length of the temporary assignment;
  • The approximate hourly amount you will pay the temporary employee;
  • The account number from which the funds are to be charged;
  • The name and email address of the budget representative within the department

Your request will be taken and the agency will be notified.  A representative from Staff Employment will complete the appropriate paperwork and orient the employee before his/her assignment.  The supervisor should sign the time card.  The department will incur the cost for the temporary help based on the UAH salary scale plus a markup (currently 26%).  Staff Employment will automatically submit an electronic bill to the department for each week the temporary is employed.
