Wellness Initiative
This website is designed to provide employees with various resources promoting health and wellness in the UAH community. Resources are available to educate employees regarding life style changes to promote health and wellness and improve the quality of life for employees and their family members. Periodic updates will be provided as programs become available. The program includes but is not limited to:
- Smoking cessation
- Nutrition education
- Exercise programs
- Stress reduction programs
- Disease Management - Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma
Walking Works 2008
Human Resources is pleased to announce "Walking Works," an exciting fall wellness initiative for all UAHuntsville Faculty and Staff. Join us on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at 12 noon in the University Fitness Center for the kick-off and inaugural walk led by Grand Marshall, President Williams. Pat Mirandy and David Kyle will give brief presentations and light refreshments will be served.
The program allows an individual to set a personal walking goal for six weeks. We will meet on October 16th in the University Center during the Benefits Fair to share success stories and draw for prizes.
