Under current policy, the University recognizes 14 paid holidays per year. They are New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. In addition, seven other holidays are scheduled at varying times throughout the year, for a total of 14 paid holidays per year.

All full-time regular, full-time temporary, and part-time employees are eligible for paid holidays. Eligible part-time employees receive a prorated share of holiday pay based upon the percentage of time they normally work.
Unless on previously approved leave, employees must be present at work on the workday before and after a holiday in order to be eligible for holiday pay. Employees on approved leaves of absence without pay are not entitled to receive pay for holidays while absent.
If an employee is required to work on one of the specified holidays, the holiday must be scheduled to be taken at a later date. Rescheduled holidays must be taken prior to termination of employment and/or before August 31 of each year.
