Facilities Facts

The UAHuntsville Physical Plant Building houses several departments responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and construction across the campus. The personnel located in the Physical Plant Building are responsible for everything from grounds to motor pool vehicles. This also includes a variety of functional operations such as electrical, water, gas, and other utilities for the UAHuntsville campus.

Facilities consists of the following departments:

• Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Systems
• Plant Systems

  • Work Order Desk

The Facilities departments supply maintenance for the ever expanding UAHuntsville campus which occupies 350 acres of land and has over 2.5 million gross sq. ft. of building space. As you might suspect, this requires a great deal of coordination and management as well as professional and sagacious work on the part of the Facilities team.
