Energy Management
The Facilities and Operations division has University-wide responsibility for leading the effort to minimize energy use and for implementing the energy
management program. The program seeks to both achieve energy savings and minimize the environmental impact
of UAHuntsville's current and future operations.
The energy management program at UAHuntsville is a comprehensive program that considers all opportunities
for achieving energy savings. This includes:
- Development and implementation of energy conservation measures
- Implementation of energy saving operations and maintenance procedures
- Utilization of an extensive University-wide building energy management system
- A University-wide commitment to modifying local behavior to decrease energy consumption and promote the use of sustainable energy
alternatives
