 Phil Gentry, (256)824-6420 | Dr. Jatinder "Jeet" Gupta, UAH's eminent scholar in the management of technology, takes office this month as president of the Production Operations Management Society (POMS). He was to begin his year as president at the POMS 2007 conference in Dallas. POMS has more than 1,200 members in the U.S. and abroad, plus affiliations with organizations in several other countries. The organization was founded in 1989 to represent the interests of production operations management professionals in industry and academia.
