Dr. Richard Fork's Classes

These are some of the courses at UAH that Dr. Fork has been known to teach during his time here at UAH.  After the course number and name comes a description of the course.

EE 451; PH 451/544; OPE 451; OPT 444 - Optoelectronics
This course is essential for those students seeking training in optoelectronic devices, waveguides, and optical radiation and amplification.  Homework is collected daily to keep the material fresh in the student's mind.  Dr. Fork has always stressed the importance of class participation, and part of the grade in the class will reflect the student's involvement in class discussion.  At several points in the semester, numerical simulation may be assigned using MATLAB.
This course is taught with Saleh & Teich's Fundamentals of Photonics.  See the syllabus below for topics to be covered.
In Fall 2001, the class will be offered on MWF 9:05-10:00 am in MSC 104.
