Welcome to

UAH!!!

Hello,

Welcome to the home of the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) Interfraternity Council (IFC). The goal of the IFC is to promote the welfare of its member fraternity chapters here at UAH. The IFC takes the form of a common governing council, in which the member chapters collectively assemble and discuss issues affecting Fraternity and Greek Life as a whole. The Council works to achieve these goals through its committee structure focusing on an array of areas including chapter development, scholarship, community service, member education, and public relations.

The council's primary concern is the safety, security, and advancement of each member fraternity. In addition, the IFC works very closely with the Office of Student Affairs in maintaining strict guidelines for chapter behavior. These guidelines restrict social behavior, recruitment practices, new member education, and other issues at the forefront of fraternity life. Furthermore, these guidelines are enforced by the mediating IFC Judicial Board, which is chaired by the VP for Judicial Affairs and recommends proper penalties and sanctions for member chapter infractions.

The IFC constitutes only a small portion of the Greek community at UAH.  In addition to IFC, the Greek Community includes the Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and their member organizations. Thank you for your interest in success with Greek Life at UAH and we hope to here from you soon.
