An example of music appreciation CAI for elementary and middle school students, The Musical World of Professor Piccolo presents some very advanced information in a format appropriate for children. Once entering Professor Piccolo's Music Town, the student has the opportunity to visit the symphony hall, the jazz club, the rock club, the church, the library, the music school, or the game arcade. Entering any of the first four begins an introduction to the typical ensemble and music found there, including instruments and their ranges, history, and musical form. The library serves as a music glossary, while the music school includes a set of tutorials on different aspects of music. The game arcade includes four ear training games.
