Philanthropy

“To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine”
-Delta Zeta creed

Lambda Kappa participates in as much philanthropy as possible! Each member is responsible for working service hours, whether it is walking dogs at an animal shelter or visiting classes at Chaffee Elementary. We have an annual philanthropy in the spring to raise money for our national philanthropy, the speech and hearing impaired. We also help out our alum chapter with their annual philanthropy, the Delta Zeta Marketplace. Below are just some of the events we have participated in this year!

- Golf Tournament -

Lambda Kappa held its 4th annual Tee off With Delta Zeta golf tournament on April 12, 2008 at the Colonial Golf Course. With the help of many sponsors in the area, the chapter raised ~ $10,000 for the speech and hearing impaired!

- Delta Zeta Marketplace -

We have a fabulous alum chapter that takes care of us in every way possible, so we try to do what we can to help them out too! Each year in November, the Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter puts on Delta Zeta Marketplace to raise money for local charities. They have donated over $500,000 to the Huntsville Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit!
As a collegiate chapter, we help run Kids Corner, where kids at the marketplace can make crafts while their parents shop around!

Chaffee Elementary
Chaffee is a local elementary school with a wonderful program for children who are deaf. Our chapter visits them as much as possible during the school year to hold holiday parties and just hang out!
