Design Lab
With seventeen Apple Imacs and three G4 computers, the art studio
computer lab is equipped with all of the hardware to operate the cutting edge
software of the graphic design world. CMC students come here to learn the
design applications and create the works that they will incorporate into their
student portfolios. The art studio lab is complete with the latest versions of
Adobe's Illustrator, PhotoShop, and ImageReady software.
Additional web development tools such as Macromedia's DreamWeaver, Fireworks,
and Flash are also loaded and ready for the student's enjoyment.

Library Lab
This is where cognate students make their acquaintance with the communication
theorists of hypertext and the World Wide Web... where students are
met with the odd request to actually surf the web during class
time. Sites are presented on the lab's projector, where they are
analyzed and critiqued through the lens of the communication theory being
discussed in class. Brilliant sites, functional sites, alarmingly inefficient
sites ... all of these are viewed and discussed in this room, and in them are
examples of learning for the communication scholar.

E-commerce Labs
UAH's Administrative Science building has five computer labs boasting
over 100 computers. As you progress through the MIS courses of the web curriculum,
you'll have the opportunity to learn Javascript and ColdFusion as
you learn how to create dynamic web sites through relational database
interaction. Coupled with the classroom instruction in both the front end and
back end technical aspects of a web site, the MIS computer labs are where the
student learns how to manage the major elements of web development.
