    Jimmy Altsman
    (Baseball - 2002-2004)

    Jimmy Altsman was a pitcher on the UAH Baseball team from 2002-2004. He is currently working for Birmingham International Forest Products as Lumber Broker. (Contact Jimmy)

    Aytree Blalock
    (Women's Cross Country - 1996-1999)

    Aytree Blalock was a member of the Cross-Country team from 1996-1999. She was also a member of UAH inaugural track team (2001). She was the first Lady Charger to qualify and compete at the NCAA Division II National Championships. She has continued running in local road races and marathons. She has also been competing in triathlons locally. Aytree recently graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy. She plans to start work at a private orthopedic clinic in Birmingham. Aytree has plans to get married in April to Bobby Barnett. (Contact Aytree)

    Dwayne Blais
    (Ice Hockey - 1997-2001)

    A two-way player for the 1998 National Championship team, Dwayne Blais was named assistant coach for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) June 12, 2006. He handles the team's strength and conditioning, as well as working with the defense corps.

    Kristy Braverman
    (Softball - 2001, 2003)

    Kristy Braverman transferred to UAH from Delta State and played in 2001 and 2003. She was a part of the 2001 team that made it the Softball World Series. She is currently the assistant softball coach at the University of West Georgia. She earned an MBA in 2006 and plans to move into the corporate work world as a product manager.

    Steve Briere
    (Ice Hockey - 1999-2003)

    Former Charger goalie Steve Briere is currently playing professionally in the Central Hockey League's Amarillo Gorillas.

    Tyler Butler
    (Ice Hockey - 1999-2003)

    Former UAH defenseman Tyler Butler is currently playing professionally in the German Professional League. He formerly played in the Central Hockey League for the Amarillo Gorillas. In 2005, he was named to the Central Hockey League Southern Conference All-Star team in just his second season in the league. Tyler and his wife Hollie Ryan-Butler are living overseas.

    Mark Byrne
    (Ice Hockey - 1999-2001)

    Mark Byrne played four years as a goalie for the UAH hockey team. He has graduated from teacher's college and is now patrolling the classroom. Mark also married his long time girlfriend Krista and they both live in the Ottawa region of Canada. (Contact Mark)

    Zach Carpenter
    (Men's Basketball - 2000-2004)

    Zach Carpenter
    Zach Carpenter had an outstanding career at UAH. He played four seasons for the Chargers ending his career ranked third on the UAH All-Time scoring list. Currently, Zach is played professional basketball overseas in Denmark. He was forced to give up professional ball due to injuries and his pursuit of a career in coaching. Zach is currently living in Cookeville, TN and working as a graduate assistant at Tennessee Tech University. (Contact Zach)

    Melanie Carter
    (Softball - 2000-2003)

    Former All-American Melanie Carter had an outstanding career at UAH. Among the many records that she smashed during her career, she became the Chargers all-time homerun queen when she eclipsed the mark for homers in a career. Currently Melanie is an assistant softball coach at the University of West Alabama in Livingston. She is also in graduate school at UWA. (Contact Melanie)

    Katie Crumbly
    (Softball - 1997-1998)

    Katie Crumbly played two seasons for the Chargers during the first three years of the program. She is currently a traveling Registered Nurse based in Phoenix, Arizona. She has been traversing the country for the last three, residing in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Santa Rosa, California. Katie, who is single, also had stops in New Orleans, New York, and Nashville. She basically moves every 3-to-6 months. (Contact Katie)

    Darren Curry
    (Ice Hockey - 1998-2001)

    Darren Curry is currently playing professionally for the Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League.

    Brent Davenport
    (Baseball - 2000-2003)

    Brent Davenport played four years on the Charger pitching staff. He now lives in Birmingham and works at the HealthSouth Corporate office as a systems engineer.

    Lane Davis
    (Softball - 1998-2001)

    Lane Davis
    Lane Davis was one of the most decorated softball players in UAH history. She was a 3-time NFCA All-American, 3-time 1st team All-South Region, 3-time All-GSC, 2-time GSC East Player of the Year, and 2-time GSC Tournament MVP. While at UAH, she was a major impact player on three GSC Championship teams and two South Region Championship teams. The Vestavia Hills, Alabama native is currently using her talented right arm as a licensed massage therapist, working as an independent contractor in the Huntsville and Madison County area. She still lives in Madison and assists with the Charger pitching staff on occasion. (Contact Lane)

    Clay Doggett
    (Baseball - 2004-2005)

    A member of the Charger pitching staff in 2004 and 2005, Doggett plays for the Windy City Thunderbolts in Chicago along with fellow Charger Wes Mindingall. The Thunderbolts are a member of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league.

    Rod Duke
    (Men's Soccer - 1973-1975)

    Rod Duke
    Rod Duke was a member of UAH's inaugural varsity soccer team, playing for the "Father of Soccer in Alabama", Coach Ostap Stromecky. Duke played for three seasons from 1973-75. During his career, the Chargers were a dominate force in the Southeast, and played at venues such as Neyland Stadium on the campus of the University of Tennessee. Since graduation in 1977, Duke has continued to support Charger Athletics and is a past president of the UAH Athletics Association and past UAH Alumni Board member. He also served as the (PA) “voice of the Chargers” at Basketball games, hockey Games, and even filled in for baseball and softball. Duke is now the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MCR Federal LLC, directing a staff of over 450 engineers and analysts supporting the Federal Sector. He and his wife Becky now reside in Madison and have two grown children, Amanda and Lydia, who are both married. (Contact Rod)

    Carrie Gracey
    (Tennis - 2000-2003)

    Carrie Gracey was a member of the UAH tennis team from 2000 to 2003. She is currently teaching children with Special Needs (disabilities/exceptionalities) from grades K-6 at a school just outside of Pensacola, Florida. (Contact Carrie)

    Brandi (Brown) Hall
    (Softball - 1996-1999)

    Brandi Brown Hall was a member of the inaugural Charger softball team. Her senior class was the first at UAH to win a region title and advance to the Softball World Series in 1999. Brandi is currently the Assistant Director of Athletics at Madison Academy High School. She also coaches middle school basketball and varsity softball. Her teams have won two softball State Championships. Brandi is married to former UAH baseball player and current Charger assistant coach Ryan Hall. The couple resides in Huntsville. (Contact Brandi)

    Ryan
    Ryan Hall played two seasons for the Chargers and is currently listed in the top ten in assists. He served as an assistant coach for the Charger baseball team in 2005. He is currently the head baseball coach at Bob Jones High School in Madison, AL, where he was a 1994 graduate. Ryan is married to former UAH softball player Brandi Brown and the couple resides in Madison. (Contact Ryan)

    Michael Hamm
    (Baseball - 1997-1998)

    Michael Hamm played for the UAH baseball team when the program was in its infancy. He is currently a Financial Advisor with a Legg Mason, based in downtown Huntsville. Michael and his wife Brooke live in his hometown of Killen, AL and they have a son, Ethan. (Contact Michael)

    Jamie (Potter) Haynes
    (Softball - 1997-2000)

    Jamie Haynes was a member of the second season of UAH softball. She played four years and was also a member of the coaching staff for one year. Jamie was fortunate to be able to go to the College World Series twice while at UAH, as a player (1999) and assistant coach (2001). Jamie graduated with a degree in elementary education in 2001. She currently teaches third grade at Lynn Fanning Elementary School in Huntsville. Jamie is married to Steve Haynes and they reside in Hartselle. Jamie’s little sister Ashley also played at UAH. Of the first ten years of the UAH program, the number "3" was worn by a Potter. (Contact Jamie)

    Tammy Hampton
    (Women's Basketball - 1991-1995)

    Tammy
    Tammy Hampton played four years for the Lady Charger basketball team during the early 90's. She received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics in the fall of 1997. She is currently working for NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama as a Materials Engineer. She is married to Michael Hampton and they will celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary in June 2005. The Hamptons have three children, two daughters Taylor and Tamia, and a son Mike.     Mekia (Harden) Henderson
    (Women's Basketball - 1997-1999)

    Mekia
    Mekia (Harden) Henderson played for the Charger Women's Basketball team for two seasons. She was also the graduate assistant for the women's team from 1999-2001. Before coming to UAH, she played basketball at Shelby State Community College in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Education. Under UAH's exceptional education program, Mekia graduated cum laude in 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education. Presently, Mekia is married to Derrick Henderson and they have two children, a son, Donovan, and a daughter, D'Mari. She continues to play basketball for a recreational church league in Atlanta, Georgia and volunteers with her son's Tee Ball team. Mekia is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. She and Derrick reside in Atlanta, Georgia where she teaches 4th grade for the Clayton County Public School System.     Jason Hawes is currently playing professionally for the Rio Grand Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League.

    Brad Hodge
    (Men's Basketball - 1989-1993)

    Brad Hodge was a member of the Charger men's basketball team 1989-1993. In 2005, he was named head women's basketball coach at Birmingham Southern College, becoming just the second women's coach in BSC history.

    Matt Jansen

    Matt Jansen
    Matt Jansen played four seasons for the Charger baseball team. He currently works for EnGlobal Corporation in Houston as a Chemical Design Engineer. Matt is also married to former UAH volleyball player Whitney Mock and the couple lives in Houston. (Contact Matt)

    Daniel Jasper played for the baseball team from 2004 to 2006. He is currently living back in Memphis, Tenn and working for Dynasteel Corporation as a part programmer and detailer. He also workz on a farm with horses in his free time. (Contact Daniel)

    Whitney (Mock) Jansen

    Whitney Mock
    Whitney Mock played four seasons on the UAH volleyball team. She currently works for DuPont as an engineer. Whitney also is going to be coaching a 161 National Club Volleyball team. She is also married to former Charger pitcher Matt Jansen and the couple lives in Houston, TX. (Contact Whitney)

    Sandra Kerby
    (Women's Basketball - 1998-1999)

    Sandra Kerby was a member of the 1998-99 Lady Charger basketball team. She currently teaches Ancient World History, Geography and Civics at Hatton High School in Hatton, AL. She also coaches the varsity volleyball, junior varsity basketball and softball teams, as well as assisting with the varsity basketball team. The varsity basketball team won the 2A state championship in 2004. The softball team has improved to winning seasons both years and made it to sub-state play, while the junior varsity basketball team was undefeated County Champs in 2005.     Mary Beth Key
    (Volleyball - 2000-2003/Tennis - 2001-2004)

    Mary Beth Key played four years for both the UAH Volleyball and Tennis teams. She graduated with a B.S.B.A in Management Information Systems and works for MEMS Optical, Inc. (micro optics) www.memsoptical.com in Huntsville. Mary Beth is a member of the USTA (United States Tennis Association) where she plays in local leagues and statewide tournaments.     Tracy (Porter) Lane
    (Softball - 1996-1999)

    Tracy Porter Lane was a member of one of UAH's most powerful softball teams to date. She wielded one of the most lethal bats in the programs history. Until 2004, Tracy held the school record for career homeruns. In 1999, she led the Chargers hitting 15 of the teams record 77 homers. Tracy earned her masters in Nursing and works as an RN. Her husband Rob is a Respiratory Therapist. The couple plans to return to Huntsville with their son, Kai. (Contact Tracy)

    Ryan Leasa
    (Ice Hockey - 1999-2003)

    Ryan Leasa was a member of the UAH hockey progam from 1999-03. In 2001-02 and 2002-2003 he won Best Defenseman for the Chargers and was nominated to first team all CHA in 2002-2003. Ryan graduated from the UAH Marketing program and played pro hockey in the ECHL in Toledo Ohio. He has also played in the CHL with the Austin Ice Bats. Ryan is getting married this summer in Canada to long time girlfriend Heather Naylor. (Contact Ryan)

    Lucas Linares
    (Men's Tennis - 1998-2001)

    Lucas Linares played tennis for the Chargers 1998-2001. He is currently living in Miami, FL and working for ABC Distributing Company. During his career at UAH, Lucas was ranked in the Top 25 in doubles and was 1st team All-Conference. On occasion, Lucas flies to Huntsville to cheer on the tennis team. (Contact Lucas)

    Sabrina Lynch
    Sabrina Lynch played four seasons for the Lady Charger basketball team. She graduated cum laude in 2001 from UAH with a BA degree in Elementary Education. In addition, Sabrina obtained her Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2003 from the University of Montevallo. She currently resides in Pelham, Alabama and teaches fifth grade at Thompson Intermediate School in Alabaster, Alabama. Sabrina was named Thompson Intermediate's Teacher of the Year during the 2004-2005 school year. She also works with various basketball programs in Alabaster. (Contact Sabrina)

    Dana (McClure) Bell
    (Volleyball - 1991-1994)

    Dana (McClure) Bell played volleyball for UAH in the early 90's. Through 2006, she held the UAH record for most games and matches played. Dana, who is a nurse at Haywod Regional Medical Center in Waynesville, NC, earned her degree in Biology and minored in Sociology. She is married to Tim Bell and the couple lives in Waynesville with their two children, Riley and Erin. (Contact Dana)

    Sunshine Metro
    (Women's Basketball - 1997-1999)

    Sunshine Metro played two years for the Lady Chargers after transferring from Stetson University. She finished her career by earning All-Gulf South Conference honors. Currently Sunshine is living in London, England, working in fashion recruitment, after spending two years living in Germany and Scotland. Over the past few years Sunshine has travelled continuously throughout the world including much of Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East before settling in the UK.

    Ryan Miller
    (Baseball - 1997-1998)

    Ryan Miller played for the Charger baseball team for two seasons. He is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Hardin County High School in his hometown of Savannah, TN. He also teaches World Geography at the school. Ryan and his wife Andrea are the proud parents of a daughter. (Contact Ryan)

    Brian Mitchell
    (Men's Soccer - 1992-1995)

    Brian Mitchell was a member of the UAH Men's Soccer team for four seasons. He is currently married to former Lady Charger soccer player Mandy (Everson) Mitchell. The couple resides in Madison, AL where he works as an engineer for The Boeing Company. Brian also leads the youth group at Grace United Methodist Church and coaches U-16 soccer. (Contact Brian)

    (Women's Soccer - 1997-1998)

    Mandy Mitchell was a member of the inaugural women's Charger soccer team on which she played for four years. After completing her eligibility, she remained as a student assistant coach for a season. Mandy is now married to Brian Mitchell and lives in Madison, Alabama. She earned a Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) in May 2005. (Contact Mandy)

    Lowell Mooneyham
    Lowell Mooneyham has been a part of the UAH baseball program since its inception in 1996 and was a member of the first Charger team to take make a trip to the NCAA tournament in 1998. He joined the team in 1996 working as a manager, then earned a spot on the roster in 1997. Lowell graduated from UAH in 2000 with a degree in History and is now the UAH head baseball coach. He resides in Huntsville and is the proud father of son Dalton Lowell. (Contact Lowell)

    Argel (Ricky) Mora
    (Men's Tennis - 1998-2000)

    Ricky Mora was a member of the UAH men's tennis team 1998-2000. He was nationally ranked in Division II in singles and doubles and earned 1st team All-Conference honors during his career. Ricky lives in New York City and works in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs & Co. on Wall Street. He is a member of USTA and plays in a corporate tennis league with other former NCAA players. (Contact Ricky)

    Jacob Noffke

    Jacob Noffke was a member of the UAH men's soccer team 1998-2001. He works as a Software Engineer for Siemens VDO and currently resides in Huntsville. Jacob is married and has a son. (Contact Jacob)

    Becky (Lores) O'Brien
    (Softball - 1996-1999)

    Becky (Lores) O'Brien was a member of the inaugural Charger softball team. She played four years and climaxed her career with a trip to the 1999 Softball World Series. Currently Becky is married to David O'Brian and resides in Silverhill, Alabama, where she is a kindergarten teacher at Gulf Shores Elementary. She also coaches girls fastpitch softball at Gulf Shores High School. In 2004, her team finished as runner-up at the Alabama High School 4A State Championships. Becky received her Masters in Education at the University of South Alabama. (Contact Becky)

    T.J. Orr
    (Baseball - 1996-1997)

    T.J. Orr
    T.J. Orr was a member of the inaugural UAH baseball team during the 1996 and 1997 seasons. While at UAH, he hit the first pinch-hit home run in school history. T.J. is a graduate of Athens State University with a degree in secondary education. He joined the Charger baseball staff after a coaching stint in high school baseball. He served as an assistant coach in 2005 and 2006. He currently is coaching at Liberty Middle School in Madison, AL. (Contact T.J.)

    Laura (Frankfort) Ortman
    (Women's Tennis - 1993-1997)

    Laura Ortman was a member of the Lady Charger Tennis team from 1993-1997. She received a BSBA in Marketing in 1997. Laura is married to Doug Ortman and resides in Denver, Colorado with their twin daughters, Madison and Makenzie, and golden retriever named Aspen. Laura is an IT Project Manager for Lockheed Martin. She received an MBA in Information Systems from Regis University in 2001. She has also taught tennis camps, both Adults and Youths, in the Summers in Colorado. (Contact Laura)

    Mandi (Brown) Panter
    (Softball - 1996-1999)

    Mandi Brown Panter was a member of the inaugural Charger softball team. Her senior class was the first at UAH to win a region title and advance to the Softball World Series in 1999. She teaches 6th grade at Lupton Jr. High School in Jasper, Ala. Mandi also coaches junior high softball. She is married to her high school sweetheart Ben Panter and the couple lives in Jasper.

    Carlos Petersen
    (Men's Soccer - 1979-1983)

    Carlos Petersen
    Carlos Petersen has strong roots in the Charger soccer program. He played for Ostap Stromecky (the "Father of Soccer in Alabama) from 1979-83 and became the second soccer coach in UAH history, succeeding Stromecky in 1990. During his career, Carlos has won over 100 games, taken the Chargers to the NCAA Regional tournament and been named Gulf South Conference Coach of the Year on numerous occasions. In addition to his coaching duties, Carlos has been active in promoting clinics and events for soccer enthusiasts in the community. Carlos graduated from UAH in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minors in computer science and Spanish. He and his wife Justin have four children, Aaron, Daniel, Jessica and Alexandra and the Petersens reside in Madison. (Contact Carlos)

    Becky (Stitt) Plott
    (Women's Basketball and Volleyball - 1995-1999)

    Becky Stitt Plott
    Becky (Stitt) Plott was a two sport performer during her career at UAH as a member of the volleyball and basketball teams. Becky helped lead the Lady Charger basketball team to their first trip to the Gulf South Conference Tournament in 1996 and later the volleyball team to the NCAA Regional Tournament in for the first time in 1998. Becky graduated in 1999 from UAH with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and received her M.S. in Organizational Management from Troy State University in 2003. She is currently married to Charles Plott and has a son, Justin, two stepsons, Taylor and Bryan. The Plotts celebrated a new addition to the family in February, 2005, a daughter, Ashlyn Rebecca. Becky works for Nektar Therapeutics, a Biopharmaceutical Company in Huntsville. She helps with her husband's company, Mindgames, Inc. and also develops websites. (Contact Becky)

    Anthony Polk
    (Men's Basketball - 1998-2001)

    Anthony Polk
    Anthony Polk was a member of the UAH men's basketball team from 1998-2001. After completing his eligibility at UAH, he played in Miskolc, Hungary from 2001-2002. Then, Anthony went on to play in Povoa Da Varzim, Portugal from 2002-2004. An injury forced Anthony to give up basketball. He now lives in Las Vegas, and is completing his masters degree at UNLV. Anthony also is an Account Associate for Xerox Managed Services. (Contact Anthony)

    (Women's Basketball - 1994-1996)

    Ali Engram
    Ali (Engram) Richard played women's basketball at UAH for two seasons, after playing for two years at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL. She finished out her athletic career running cross country at UAH in the fall of 1996. After marrying former UAH hockey player Brian "Richie" Richard in April 1997, they moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she finished up her degree, receiving a B.A. in Social Services from UAB (University of Alabama in Birmingham). Currently Ali works for Delta Air Lines in Birmingham and she and her family reside in Pell City, Alabama.     Lane Davis
    Kevin Ridgeway and Erin Denny were married in June of 2005. The couple now resides in Missouri, just outside of St. Louis. Kevin is working for Paynecrest Electric in St. Louis and still plays men's league hockey. Erin is a School Nurse and Head Volleyball coach for John Burroughs School in St. Louis. Kevin was a member of the Charger hockey team for four years. He played on the Chargers' 1998 Division II National Championship team. Erin also played four years for the UAH volleyball team.     Paul Scott
    (Hockey - 1986-1990)

    Paul Scott
    Paul Scott was a member of the Charger hockey team during their first run in Division I and was a co-captain in his senior year. After graduating from UAH with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Paul worked throughout Canada in a management capacity with Manulife Financial. He now resides in Tecumseh, Ontario and is a partner of the financial planning firm "Shillington Life & Financial Inc." Paul is happily married to wife Jil and has two sons, Andrew and Eric. Outside of work, he is heavily involved in youth hockey as a convernor and coach in the Tecumseh Eagles Minor Hockey Program. (Contact Paul)

    Kelly Smalling
    (Women's Soccer - 1996-1998)

    Kelly Smalling was a member of the inaugural women's Charger soccer team on which she played for three years. She earned her Master's degree in Environmental Health Sciences in 2002 and is currently working for the U.S. Geological Survey in Sacramento, CA. Kelly also plays both indoor and outdoor soccer with local adult recreational leagues. (Contact Kelly)

    Joe Smith was a standout All-GSC performer during his career at UAH. In his junior year, he led the Chargers to the South Region tournament. He has been playing professional basketball since leaving UAH. Joe has been to several NBA camps, including: Los Angeles Lakers, Pheonix Suns, Washington Wizards and the Denver Nuggets. He has played in many Minor leagues in the USA and is currently playing in one of the top leagues in Italy. He also has his own company where he gives private basketball lessons to kids. Joe also hosts his own basketball camps (Smokin' Joe Smith Basketball camp). Several NBA players work with Joe in running his camps. He hopes to expand the camps to other cities, like Huntsville. During the summer of 2005, Joe was on the Washington Wizards' summer league roster in Las Vegas. During the spring of 2007, Joe led NSB Rieti to the Italian League Championship. He was the leader in scoring (18.6 pts) and assists (4.1) for the season. It was Joe's first European Championship.

    Laura (Jackson) Taylor

    Laura Taylor played in goal for the Lady Chargers from 1997-1999. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga in 2002 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004 (also from UTC). Laura was married on Novemeber 19, 2005 to Shawn Taylor, who is an electrical engineer. The couple still lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Laura is working as a PT with Advantage Rehab Inc. seeing mostly home health patients, but also some Early Intervention (0-3yrs), and Developmental Delay (all ages). (Contact Laura)

    Karl Tunon
    Karl Tunon was a member of the inaugural Charger baseball team. He played two seasons under Coach Bobby Pierce in 1996 and 1997. Following his stint on the diamond, he moved on to become a volunteer assistant with the UAH softball program. After completing his degree at UAH, Karl became the Chargers' full time assistant coach.     Todd Welch
    Todd Welch was a member of the UAH men's basketball team from 1995-1998. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a chemistry minor in 1998. Todd earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham in 2002. He went on to complete a three year residency program in Periodontal Surgery in 2005. Todd is currently in private practice and living in Memphis, Tennessee with wife, Jennifer and daughter Olivia.     April (Wessner) West played four seasons for the Lady Charger basketball team. She obtained her BSBA with an emphasis in Accounting from UAH and works as an internal auditor for Huntsville Utilities. April is certified as a fraud examiner (CFE) and is currently working on obtaining her CPA. She is currently married to Keith West and resides in Madison, Alabama.     Sara (Winn) Wheeler
    (Softball - 2001-2004)

    Sara (Winn) Wheeler played four years on the Charger softball team and was a member of two regional championship squads. She also has a pair of Gulf South Conference championship rings. Sara is currently teaching Math at her alma mater, Alexandria High School. She also coaches varsity volleyball and B-team softball. Sara was married to Kent Wheeler in March of 2005 and the couple resides in Ohatchee, AL. (Contact Sara)

    Audrey "Red" Williams
    (Softball - 1998-2001)

    Audrey Williams
    Audrey "Red" Williams set the standard at shortstop for the Chargers during her career. She finished her career ranked in the top five all-time at UAH in several categories. A native of Sylacauga, Alabama, Red was 3-time NFCA All-American, All-South Region and All-Gulf South Conference. She helped lead the Chargers to two South Region titles and a pair of trips to the College Softball World Series in 1999 and 2001. Currently, Red works locally in Huntsville.

    Tammy Wissel

    Tammy Wissel played on the Lady Charger soccer team from 2000-2003. She graduated from Athens State with a bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and is now working as a counselor at Three Springs Paint Rock in Trenton, AL. (Contact Tammy)

    Karlis Zirnis
    (Ice Hockey - 1999-2003)

    Karlis Zirnis is currently playing professionally for the Colorado Eagles in the Central Hockey League. In the 2005, he scored the game-winner in a 1-0 win in Game 5 of the Ray Miron President’s Cup championship.
