Jimmy Altsman
Jimmy Altsman was a pitcher on the UAH Baseball team from 2002-2004. He is currently working for Birmingham International Forest Products as Lumber Broker. (Contact Jimmy)

Aytree Blalock
Aytree Blalock was a member of the Cross-Country team from 1996-1999. She was also a member of UAH inaugural track team (2001). She was the first Lady Charger to qualify and compete at the NCAA Division II National Championships. She has continued running in local road races and marathons. She has also been competing in triathlons locally. Aytree recently graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy. She plans to start work at a private orthopedic clinic in Birmingham. Aytree has plans to get married in April to Bobby Barnett. (Contact Aytree)

Dwayne Blais
A two-way player for the 1998 National Championship team, Dwayne Blais was named assistant coach for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) June 12, 2006. He handles the team's strength and conditioning, as well as working with the defense corps.

Kristy Braverman
Kristy Braverman transferred to UAH from Delta State and played in 2001 and 2003. She was a part of the 2001 team that made it the Softball World Series. She is currently the assistant softball coach at the University of West Georgia. She earned an MBA in 2006 and plans to move into the corporate work world as a product manager.

Steve Briere
Former Charger goalie Steve Briere is currently playing professionally in the Central Hockey League's Amarillo Gorillas.

Tyler Butler
Former UAH defenseman Tyler Butler is currently playing professionally in the German Professional League. He formerly played in the Central Hockey League for the Amarillo Gorillas. In 2005, he was named to the Central Hockey League Southern Conference All-Star team in just his second season in the league. Tyler and his wife Hollie Ryan-Butler are living overseas.

Mark Byrne
Mark Byrne played four years as a goalie for the UAH hockey team. He has graduated from teacher's college and is now patrolling the classroom. Mark also married his long time girlfriend Krista and they both live in the Ottawa region of Canada. (Contact Mark)

Melanie Carter
Former All-American Melanie Carter had an outstanding career at UAH. Among the many records that she smashed during her career, she became the Chargers all-time homerun queen when she eclipsed the mark for homers in a career. Currently Melanie is an assistant softball coach at the University of West Alabama in Livingston. She is also in graduate school at UWA. (Contact Melanie)

Katie Crumbly
Katie Crumbly played two seasons for the Chargers during the first three years of the program. She is currently a traveling Registered Nurse based in Phoenix, Arizona. She has been traversing the country for the last three, residing in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Santa Rosa, California. Katie, who is single, also had stops in New Orleans, New York, and Nashville. She basically moves every 3-to-6 months. (Contact Katie)

Clay Doggett
A member of the Charger pitching staff in 2004 and 2005, Doggett plays for the Windy City Thunderbolts in Chicago along with fellow Charger Wes Mindingall. The Thunderbolts are a member of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league.

Carrie Gracey
Carrie Gracey was a member of the UAH tennis team from 2000 to 2003. She is currently teaching children with Special Needs (disabilities/exceptionalities) from grades K-6 at a school just outside of Pensacola, Florida. (Contact Carrie)

Brandi (Brown) Hall
Brandi Brown Hall was a member of the inaugural Charger softball team. Her senior class was the first at UAH to win a region title and advance to the Softball World Series in 1999. Brandi is currently the Assistant Director of Athletics at Madison Academy High School. She also coaches middle school basketball and varsity softball. Her teams have won two softball State Championships. Brandi is married to former UAH baseball player and current Charger assistant coach Ryan Hall. The couple resides in Huntsville. (Contact Brandi)

Michael Hamm
Michael Hamm played for the UAH baseball team when the program was in its infancy. He is currently a Financial Advisor with a Legg Mason, based in downtown Huntsville. Michael and his wife Brooke live in his hometown of Killen, AL and they have a son, Ethan. (Contact Michael)

Jamie (Potter) Haynes
Jamie Haynes was a member of the second season of UAH softball. She played four years and was also a member of the coaching staff for one year. Jamie was fortunate to be able to go to the College World Series twice while at UAH, as a player (1999) and assistant coach (2001). Jamie graduated with a degree in elementary education in 2001. She currently teaches third grade at Lynn Fanning Elementary School in Huntsville. Jamie is married to Steve Haynes and they reside in Hartselle. Jamie’s little sister Ashley also played at UAH. Brad Hodge was a member of the Charger men's basketball team 1989-1993. In 2005, he was named head women's basketball coach at Birmingham Southern College, becoming just the second women's coach in BSC history.

Sandra Kerby
Sandra Kerby was a member of the 1998-99 Lady Charger basketball team. She currently teaches Ancient World History, Geography and Civics at Hatton High School in Hatton, AL. She also coaches the varsity volleyball, junior varsity basketball and softball teams, as well as assisting with the varsity basketball team. The varsity basketball team won the 2A state championship in 2004. The softball team has improved to winning seasons both years and made it to sub-state play, while the junior varsity basketball team was undefeated County Champs in 2005. Mary Beth Key
Mary Beth Key played four years for both the UAH Volleyball and Tennis teams. She graduated with a B.S.B.A in Management Information Systems and works for MEMS Optical, Inc. (micro optics) www.memsoptical.com in Huntsville. Mary Beth is a member of the USTA (United States Tennis Association) where she plays in local leagues and statewide tournaments. Tracy (Porter) Lane
Tracy Porter Lane was a member of one of UAH's most powerful softball teams to date. She wielded one of the most lethal bats in the programs history. Until 2004, Tracy held the school record for career homeruns. In 1999, she led the Chargers hitting 15 of the teams record 77 homers. Tracy earned her masters in Nursing and works as an RN. Her husband Rob is a Respiratory Therapist. The couple plans to return to Huntsville with their son, Kai. (Contact Tracy)

Ryan Leasa
Ryan Leasa was a member of the UAH hockey progam from 1999-03. In 2001-02 and 2002-2003 he won Best Defenseman for the Chargers and was nominated to first team all CHA in 2002-2003. Ryan graduated from the UAH Marketing program and played pro hockey in the ECHL in Toledo Ohio. He has also played in the CHL with the Austin Ice Bats. Ryan is getting married this summer in Canada to long time girlfriend Heather Naylor. (Contact Ryan)

Lucas Linares
Lucas Linares played tennis for the Chargers 1998-2001. He is currently living in Miami, FL and working for ABC Distributing Company. During his career at UAH, Lucas was ranked in the Top 25 in doubles and was 1st team All-Conference. On occasion, Lucas flies to Huntsville to cheer on the tennis team. (Contact Lucas)

Dana (McClure) Bell
Dana (McClure) Bell played volleyball for UAH in the early 90's. Through 2006, she held the UAH record for most games and matches played. Dana, who is a nurse at Haywod Regional Medical Center in Waynesville, NC, earned her degree in Biology and minored in Sociology. She is married to Tim Bell and the couple lives in Waynesville with their two children, Riley and Erin. (Contact Dana)

Sunshine Metro
Sunshine Metro played two years for the Lady Chargers after transferring from Stetson University. She finished her career by earning All-Gulf South Conference honors. Currently Sunshine is living in London, England, working in fashion recruitment, after spending two years living in Germany and Scotland. Over the past few years Sunshine has travelled continuously throughout the world including much of Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East before settling in the UK.

Ryan Miller played for the Charger baseball team for two seasons. He is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Hardin County High School in his hometown of Savannah, TN. He also teaches World Geography at the school. Ryan and his wife Andrea are the proud parents of a daughter. (Contact Ryan)

Brian Mitchell
Brian Mitchell was a member of the UAH Men's Soccer team for four seasons. He is currently married to former Lady Charger soccer player Mandy (Everson) Mitchell. The couple resides in Madison, AL where he works as an engineer for The Boeing Company. Brian also leads the youth group at Grace United Methodist Church and coaches U-16 soccer. (Contact Brian)

Mandy (Everson) Mitchell
Mandy Mitchell was a member of the inaugural women's Charger soccer team on which she played for four years. After completing her eligibility, she remained as a student assistant coach for a season. Mandy is now married to Brian Mitchell and lives in Madison, Alabama. She earned a Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) in May 2005. (Contact Mandy)

Argel (Ricky) Mora
Ricky Mora was a member of the UAH men's tennis team 1998-2000. He was nationally ranked in Division II in singles and doubles and earned 1st team All-Conference honors during his career. Ricky lives in New York City and works in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs & Co. on Wall Street. Becky (Lores) O'Brien
Becky (Lores) O'Brien was a member of the inaugural Charger softball team. She played four years and climaxed her career with a trip to the 1999 Softball World Series. Currently Becky is married to David O'Brian and resides in Silverhill, Alabama, where she is a kindergarten teacher at Gulf Shores Elementary. She also coaches girls fastpitch softball at Gulf Shores High School. In 2004, her team finished as runner-up at the Alabama High School 4A State Championships. Laura (Frankfort) Ortman
Laura Ortman was a member of the Lady Charger Tennis team from 1993-1997. She received a BSBA in Marketing in 1997. Laura is married to Doug Ortman and resides in Denver, Colorado with their twin daughters, Madison and Makenzie, and golden retriever named Aspen. Laura is an IT Project Manager for Lockheed Martin. Sara (Winn) Wheeler
Sara (Winn) Wheeler played four years on the Charger softball team and was a member of two regional championship squads. She also has a pair of Gulf South Conference championship rings.
