
Lady Chargers win GSC opener

It's been an uphill climb early on for the UAH volleyball team. However, on Tuesday night, the Lady Chargers picked up a big win, knocking off the Mississippi University for Women 3-1 (30-26, 30-19, 17-30, 30-28) in the Gulf South Conference opener for both teams. Emily Miller led the charge for UAH, tallying 14 kills and 10 digs. Kristian Kleminsky added 11 kills and Kristen Henley finished with 10.
The homestanding Blues out-hit the Lady Chargers 60-59, but couldn't overcome 12 UAH service aces. Both teams had their share of service errors, finishing with 12 apiece.
