Junior middle blocker Ellen LaFiore has another postseason award to her growing collection. Earlier this week, she was named to the inaugural Daktronics All-South Central Region's first team.

Last month, LaFiore was named the Verizon All-Academic team and the AVCA All-South Central Region team.

During the 2000 season, LaFiore had another outstanding season, leading the Lady Chargers to 22-14 record, and very nearly another trip to the NCAA playoffs.

She finished the season with 685 kills (5.23 K/A), 57 service aces, 339 digs, and 132 blocks. She led the team in three of the four catagories. She also led the team in attack percentage (.410).

Off the court, LaFiore, who is an Electrical Engineering major, has a 3.71 grade point average.
