Lady Charger junior middle blocker Ellen LaFiore has been named third team Daktronics All-America. She joins fellow Gulf South Conference spikers Ashley Moffitt and Nesrin Seckin of North Alabama who were also named to the third team.

LaFiore was the Chargers leading scorer in 2000, averaging 5.23 kills per game. She also led the team in service aces with 57, and blocks with 132. She was third on the team in digs, averaging 2.59 per game.

The latest honor is one of many for LaFiore this season. Among others, she was also named Daktronics All-South Central Region and Verizon All-Academic and AVCA All-South Central Region team.
