Junior middle blocker Ellen LaFiore continues to rack up the hardware. Over the past couple of weeks, she has added two more honors to the collection. She has been chosen to the Verizon All-Academic team and the AVCA All-South Central Region team.

She earned the All-Academic (3rd team) honor with her work in the classroom. LaFiore, who is an Electrical Engineering major, has a 3.71 grade point average.

On the court, LaFiore had another outstanding season, leading the Lady Chargers to 22-14 record, and very nearly another trip to the NCAA playoffs.

She finished the season with 685 kills (5.23 K/A), 57 service aces, 339 digs, and 132 blocks. She led the team in three of the four catagories. She also led the team in attack percentage (.410).
