
Lady Chargers lose to Lincoln Memorial for the first time ever

Harrogate, TN - The Lady Chargers lost to Lincoln Memorial 7-15, 15-11, 16-14 and 15-11 on Wednesday. It was the first time in UAH volleyball history that the Lady Chargers had lost to LMU. Prior to the loss, UAH had beaten the Lady Railsplitters 23 consecutive times.
The loss dropped the Lady Chargers to 13-11 and 4-4 in the Gulf South Conference. LMU improved to 21-8, 5-4.
Despite the loss, GSC East Player of the Week Ellen LaFiore had another sparkling outing leading UAH with 33 kills. Melissa Feldman added 12 kills piled up 26 digs, while Lindsay Dunham had 11 kills. Jane Baumgartner finished with 59 assists and 15 digs.
The Lady Chargers will try to rebound this weekend in a pair of crucial GSC matches at Spragins Hall. UAH hosts West Alabama on Saturday and Valdosta State on Sunday. It will be the first meeting of the season against West Alabama, while the match against Valdosta State will be a rematch. The Lady Blazers swept the Lady Chargers in the first meeting in Valdosta.
