Blalock finishes seventh at National Championships
Antoine Bell, UAH Sports Information
Aytree Blalock just missed becoming the first track and field All-American in UAH history at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Evansville, IN. Blalock finished 11th in the finals of the 5,000 meter run. Only the first eight finishers earn all-america status, but Blalock, the Lady Chargers' lone qualifier at the Nationals, capped off a tremendous season in UAH Athletics with her performance.
"She had a great year and finishing 11th in the country isn't bad at all," said Coach David Cain. "This has been a great experience and now we know what to look for next season."
