2008: Sidney played in 51 games with 43 starts. She batted .301 with three home runs, three doubles and 26 RBI. In the field, she was solid on defense committing only one error in 321 chances.

2007: Sidney played in 59 games with 56 starts. She was second on the team in offense batting .302 with three home runs, nine doubles and 24 RBI. She was ranked third in GSC in putouts.

2006: Sydney played in 38 games with 15 starts. She batted .259 with two doubles, a triple and 12 RBI. Her RBI double against West Florida in the bottom of the sixth inning at the GSC tournament helped the Chargers come from behind to advance into the winner's bracket with a 3-2 win.

Prep: Sydney Simpson lettered in volleyball, basketball and softball at Gardendale High School just outside of Birmingham. In 2005, She had a batting average of .489. She was named Birmingham Kiwanis Sofball Player of the Year in 2005. She was also 2005 All-Metro first baseman. In addition, Sydney earned Section Tournament MVP honors in both 2003 and 2005. She was also named Who's Who Among American High School Athletes.
