"Under the Bucket" Week 7

Throughout the season, Brett McConnachie and Dominik Rozman will be giving Charger hockey fans an inside look at the team, from practice to the antics on the road, and of course a player's look at the action on the ice. It's a weekly feature we like to call "Under the Bucket."

The Charger Blue are coming off a successful weekend by beating the Ohio State Buckeyes once while tying them in the second game. Mikey “One-Timer with Extra Cheese” Salekin scored a goal in both contests while Steve “Captain Clutch aka. Barracuda” Canter score the game-winning goal Friday and netted the game-tying goal Saturday. Josh “Bi-polar” Murray showed his bright-side scoring the first goal on Friday night’s game and also showed his dark-side as he took a 5 minute major penalty and received a game ejection for hitting from behind.

This weekend coming up is going to be a big test for us. We travel to play the Princeton Tigers. This is going to be our last series before Christmas and the boys would like to lead into the holidays with 2 solid efforts on the weekend. You can be sure that we will be working hard at practice and sharpening up for our out of conference games.

Drill of the week: “2 on 1 continual” where the forwards will be going for their 14th straight victory over the defensemen.
