The 1995-96 Chargers capped off an undefeated season and became the first varsity team in UAH history to capture an NCAA Division II national championship on March 8-9, 1996, defeating Bemidji State University in a two-game series 7-1 and 3-0 in front of a combined 12,417 in the Von Braun Center.
The day's events will begin at 11:15 am with the annual Alumni Game. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
The 1996 championship team will return to the site where they defeated the Beavers and be honored during the first intermission of the Saturday night game.
The night will end with a post-game reception with the 1996 championship team immediately following the UAH-RIT hockey game Saturday night. All fans are encouraged to attend and there is no admission fee.
