Charger defenseman Darren Curry was named College Hockey America Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday. He is the second consecutive UAH hockey player to earn the award. Goaltender Mark Byrne captured the first CHA Defensive Player of the Week award of the season.
Curry, a 5'11, 190-pound senior from Manitock, Ontario had three goals and two assists in the Chargers' weekend series at Western Michigan University. In the series opener on Friday, Curry tallied two goals, including a power play goal, and two assists in the Chargers' 6-5 overtime victory over the Broncos.
On Saturday night, Curry had one goal in UAH's 4-3 loss to Western Michigan.
