A Message From the Brothers

The Theta Pi chapter of The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity has been at UAH since 1979. Since our founding, ATΩ has left its mark on UAH’s campus and the men who have become a part of ATΩ brotherhood. ATΩ’s are well prepared to enter the job market upon graduation because of the social and personal skills they develop in the Fraternity.

ATΩ is the most respected Fraternity at UAH for very good reasons. At ATΩ, we pride ourselves on our leadership on campus. With brothers serving as members of Inter-Fraternal Council, SGA House of Representatives and Senate, Lancers, Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega, Compass Freshman Orientation, Association for Campus Entertainment, Frosh Mosh, and Charger Chasers, we continue to make our mark in campus leadership and organizations.

In August 2006, the Fraternity made the move from Southeast Housing, where the chapter resided for 10 years, into a brand new, traditional Fraternity house on Greek Row next to the University Fitness Center. Our presence on campus is important to our brothers and to other students at UAH. The House is a place to study, relax, meet new friends, and party after the schoolwork is done.

At ATΩ, we also work hard to insure that you come to UAH to get an education. With our extensive test files, mandATΩry pledge study hours, and minimum GPA requirement, we have seen our grades improve to well above the all men’s average. Last year we were ranked 1st out of all fraternities with a 3.2 GPA.

While grades are important to our brothers, we know students join fraternities for the social aspects they offer. We have a full social calendar from the beginning of fall until the last days of spring. Intramural sports offer year round competition with other fraternities and students. ATΩ will be chasing the football title this fall and defending its volleyball and dodgeball titles in the spring. September brings canoe trips, pledge squeal night, golf tournament, and Toga Party. President’s Ball formal, road trips, and ski trips highlight the winter months. In the Spring, we celebrate with our annual Viking Party in addition to our Basketball Dribble, sorority mixers and Spring Break!

I know you want to make the most out of your college career. ATΩ is committed to encouraging leadership and helping young men become great men. I invite you to experience the brotherhood that ATΩ has to offer. You are encouraged to attend any or all of the events listed on the attached schedule. Please call or email if you would like to attend any of these events or for more information. Some of you have already expressed interest in becoming a part of Alpha Tau Omega and for that I congratulate you. For those who are being introduced to the Fraternity for the first time, let me assure you that there is no better choice you can make than to give ATΩ brotherhood a chance. You won’t regret it! I look forward to talking personally with each of you soon.

Brotherly Love and Respect,
