  • Have a lower rate of D’s, F’s and W’s in targeted classes;

Goal 2: Offer comprehensive one-on-one and small group tutoring that fosters independent learning by helping students develop learning strategies and enhance academic skills that lead to improved classroom performance.
Outcomes: Students will

  • Engage in dialogue that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Gain a better understanding of classroom material.
  • Develop confidence in academic abilities.

Goal 3: Assist students in preparing for and adapting to college life by providing student mentors to serve as positive role models for students enrolled in UNV 101 classes.

  • Develop meaningful connections within the university community to achieve educational, social and personal goals;
  • Participate in educational and co-curricular opportunities designed to facilitate the transition into the intellectual, cultural, and social milieu of the university community;
