Peer Mentors
The ARC's Mentoring program helps first-year students adapt to college life by providing sophomore, junior and senior-level student Peer Mentors to serve as positive role models. By working with the University Life (UNV 101) classes, ARC Peer Mentors will assist students in preparing for and adapting to college life and help them develop meaningful connections within the university community.
Peer Mentors' professional development prepares them in areas of student development, interpersonal communication, group leadership, problem solving and goal setting, academic support, how and when to refer students to other resources, ethical standards, and are made aware of all available campus resources.
In order to be considered for the position of a Peer Mentor, please make sure you have completed and returned all of the documents listed below to the ARC. Should you have any questions or need clarification on any document, please contact the ARC as soon as possible.
