UAH CHARGERS 2012 HOCKEY CAMPAIGN UAH CHARGER HOCKEY!
UAHuntsville is thankful for YOUR support
Dear Alumni and Friends,

On Tuesday, December 6th, 2011, a new era of Charger hockey was born. This effort is possible as a result of the support our new President, Dr. Robert Altenkirch, who has tremendous experience involving the business side of hockey with the NHL New Jersey Devils, and the construction of their home facility — the Prudential Center. With a renewed commitment from UAH, along with overwhelming alumni and community support, the program is now poised to run and operate at a new level.

When our group met with university officials, it was agreed upon unanimously that the only way our program can sustain itself over the long term is to gain conference acceptance. The UAH administration is committed to do what it takes to make this a reality and aggressively pursue conference entry. With that being said, it is time for alumni and friends of the university to live up to our side of the agreement by showing our support through our actions, and to lead our program into this new era.

This is a collaborative effort among alumni, friends and the university with the focus on our top priority of stable financial operations, and with an ultimate goal of gaining entrance into a conference. The funds raised this year through your generosity will be used to help offset operating costs for the 2012-2013 season and fees if we gain acceptance into a conference. It is critical that we demonstrate to prospective conferences that we have the recurring financial strength and backing to be a successful, long-term partner.

Please read carefully what we need you to do:

  1. For those of you who pledged funds, we need you go online and invest your pledged amount for year 1. You can also mail in a check. Either method will provide you with the adequate tax information.
  2. If you have not pledged funds, please do so, and pass this along to 5 other potential donors.
  3. To invest online, please go here.

This is an exciting time in UAH Charger hockey history, and we have a chance collectively to move the program forward. The time is now to step up and support your program that brings national pride and recognition to us all.

sincerly Jared Ross
