Dr. Nicholas Lynn

Lecturer, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering


Nicholas Lynn did his earned his doctorate from the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) located in Tullahoma, TN. His doctoral research focused on the development of Vorticity Confinement as an Implicit Large Eddy Simulation (ILES) technique. While at UTSI he participated in a six month stay at the Institut fur Luft und Raumfahrt in Aachen, Germany. Upon completing his Ph.D. spent time as a post-doctoral researcher at Florida State University. Nicholas also spent three years at the SimuTech group a consulting engineer where he used his skills in CFD and FEA to solve a variety of industrial problems.
